The logo...
Our logo is in memory of the best dog (the artist's words) she's ever had. Her heart dog. The dog that went everywhere with her and stuck by her side.
Doc was her boxer, her strong Viking dog, and the one that completed her. He was also the driving force behind the artist's own art therapy project. Painting and drawing while dealing with the loss of a beloved companion (we miss you Doc ❤️) helped launch this work, and is still in every brush stroke I make today!
Additionally, the second part of this work is the namesake, Lady May. Lady May is the dog that picked me up after losing Doc. My girl, my ultimate angel here on Earth that has taught me why it's important to grow and move forward. Learning those tough lessons - to love more, to listen, to live - have allowed this work to grow to what it is today, all while maintaining my sassiness and drive to do what fulfills me. Having true grit and going against all odds have allowed me to see that we do not deserve dogs, but get to learning the true meaning of life from them. 🦋
